Coral
Spawn
Coral Spawning in Curacao
occurs 2 to 4 days after the full moon in September
and October each year. During this time in the
evenings, sometime after 9:00 P.M., corals will release
their eggs and sperm.
This is Curacao's
coral reproductive season, which they display as miniature
beads of lights bouncing off them. If you're lucky,
you can be one of the few divers to witness Coral
Spawning in Curacao
this year. This is a spectacular time for photographers
and dive enthusiasts alike. To be sure that you do
not miss out on this event be sure to book early.
Fish are also more plentiful after the spawn.
